General Description: Information Services Coordinator

The responsibilities for the Information Service Coordinator are to oversea the technical needs of ExOfficio's business systems. This includes detailed knowledge of how its systems work and operate.

They are responsible for trouble shooting problems with multiple systems and implementing solutions to those problems.

The ICS is in charge of implementing daily technical process, such as electronic order processing, database management, general reporting, and system administration. ISC function as a knowledge base for current employees and as an instructor for new ones. In the event new systems are added ISC offers advice to management on which system to use and how they might be integrated with current systems.

ISC can have responsibilities of administrating new systems as they are added.

The ISC works under direct supervision, but has authority to implement solutions to problems.

SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at one time. Attention to detail and being able to manage tight timelines is a priority.
  • Previous experience in a supporting role within the Information Technology field.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to address issues in an effective and timely manner.
  • Must work well as part of a team, contributing to the overall success of the team.
  • Requires the ability to independently perform all of the duties of the position efficiently and effectively.
  • Must be able to install, configure, troubleshoot and maintain all of the software applications and peripheral equipment.
  • Must have strong communication and training skills and be able to communicate technical information to non-technical users.

Education and Experience: Position requires an AA/AS degree in computer related field plus two years relevant experience; a BA/BS degree in computer science or related discipline; or the combination of education and experience that enables performance of all aspects of the position.

Technical and PC Skills Required:

  • Requires special technical knowledge of the techniques and procedures of software and network support for multiple users.
  • Must understand installation, configuration and troubleshooting processes for software, hardware, networking and accessory equipment.
  • Requires experience with personal computer equipment. Must have advanced personal computer word processing, spreadsheet, database, and Windows skills.
  • Terminal emulation, menuing, maintenance skills required.
  • Requires sufficient analytical skills to assess problems or unusual situations and develop solutions. Prefer a working understanding of the business operations, goals and objectives relating to Computer and IT Services.
